On the way to Monteverde | america Sandbacksgatan
The four days of Manuel Antonio had begun coming to an end and we were hungry for a last stop on the trip before we would head back to San Jose and then on to Colombia! The plan had always been that we would depart for Monteverde (Green Mountain) in northern Costa Rica, but the problem was that we had not really thought through the best itinerary. agarbatti making We were now in Manuel Antonio, south of San Jose, and Monte Verde is located 4 hours north of San Jose. In three days we would then take us from south to north, past San Jose where we 3 days later was to fly to Colombia. It would be much traveling for only one full day in Monteverde. But ... you only live once..så we went!
We had calculated agarbatti making ca. 7 hour bus ride through the country but when we finally finally arrived in Monteverde we had landed at just over a 12 hour trip. We took a taxi from Manuel Antonio to Queops. From there a bus to Puntarenas - from there a bus to Monteverde. The last bus wound its way up the mountain on a gravelly and very dusty road. We went up into the sunset and it was actually quite magical to see the entire mountain landscape evidence in the sunset. The higher we climbed the colder it got there and when we arrived it was actually position to take on pants and a sweater for the first time in 3 weeks. What it was also the location for was a shower - I've never ever been so dirty (possibly in some camps when I was little) as I was when we arrived.
One of the reasons that the trip took so long was that we had over 3 hours of waiting in Puntarenas on the next bus. We were tired and bored and did not really know where we would go when Puntarenas does not consist of so much more than (type) bus station and a beach. It ended up that we sat on the ground, agarbatti making under a tree in the shade and lived three hours as homeless. Less we watched movies on Clara's I-Pad, of course, otherwise we would probably have been able to be with the gang.
Thanks Amanda wonderful read I can both see before me that two homeless agarbatti making with I-Pad and the restaurant owner and realize how much you both missing here. Looking forward to more updates from your new destination Take care of your hug to both of you and enjoy the carnival and Cartagena
