Some food manufacturers are launching a French Alliance for Sustainable Palm Oil and agree to use by 2015 that produced only with certain social and environmental safeguards.
One year after a parliamentary offensive against the palm oil industry is organized. Six companies (Ferrero, Nestle, Unilever, Vandermoortele, MSC, Cerelia) and three professional organizations valson thampu (National Association of agribusiness, 7 Alliance and the National Federation valson thampu of Industries of fats) have announced the creation of a "French Alliance for sustainable palm oil. "
The Alliance is committed to use such exclusivment 2015 palm oil produced with certain social valson thampu and environmental safeguards to meet the sustainability criteria of the RSPO (Round table on sustainable palm oil). The Alliance also wants to promote valson thampu the palm oil certified to the SME sector and "promote valson thampu the establishment of an efficient traceability system."
The RSPO is an organization that brings together producers and palm oil as well as scientists and NGOs distributors. Since 2011 it issues a label certifying that the crops do not come at the expense of primary forest or high conservation value and that the human rights of local communities are respected. Print
